Families in Recovery
The FIR program is dedicated to helping families heal together. We provide a comprehensive support system that combines safe, affordable housing with access to therapy and resources. Our goal is to empower families to build a healthy, stable, and sober future as a family unit.
- Who we serve: We support families with children—whether single-parent or two-parent—in which an adult is rebuilding after homelessness while also managing mental health and/or substance use
- Key Benefits: A stable family environment, ongoing supportive services, and a structured path to long-term recovery.
- Eligibility: Must have a history of substance use disorder and/or a mental health condition. This includes, but is not limited to, depression, anxiety, PTSD, postpartum depression, and other mental health challenges
Home Sharing Placement
A unique component of our model, home sharing pairs two or more individuals in one permanent rental unit. This approach fosters mutual accountability, reduces costs, and builds a powerful network of peer support on the journey to independence.
- Who we serve: Individuals voluntarily live together in a shared housing unit, creating a family-like environment that combats isolation and provides built-in structure.
- Key Benefits: Affordable rent, reduced risk of relapse through camaraderie, and a shared commitment to a sober lifestyle.
- Eligibility: Must have a history of substance use disorder and/or a mental health condition. This includes, but is not limited to, depression, anxiety, PTSD, postpartum depression, and other mental health challenges
